Unsorted Redwood

Unsorted Joinery (Premium Grade)

This is the best quality joinery timber, where the lower grades have been removed or sorted. Unsorted Joinery is mainly used where the visible finish is important, such as doors, windows or stairs. Unsorted is also used for skirtings, architraves and other internal mouldings where a high-quality finish is essential.

Unsorted Joinery has a low knot content, straight grain and a smooth finish.
5ths Redwood

5ths Grade (Standard Grade)

This is a more multi-purpose grade, which has a huge variety of uses. 5ths Grade is typically used for Cladding, Flooring, Skirting, Architraves, Dado Rail and many others.

5ths Grade Joinery still maintains the smooth finish of unsorted but has a slightly higher knot content.
Greensplit & Heartfree

Greensplit and Heartfree Joinery cuts out the centre of the log before Kilning which reduces defects even further.

Used for a wide range of joinery applications and for specialist trades.
Russian Sawfalling Redwood

Russian softwood timber is slow grown in cold temperatures to produce a strong and dense product ideal for use in construction and furniture manufacturing.

Harvested from FSC certified raw material to produce high quality standard sawn goods from spruce and pine logs.

Grade 1: Saw Falling S/F (I-IV)
Kiln Dried/Heat treated 56 degrees/30

Russian D Grade

Russian D Grade Redwood is a low grade timber mainly used for making pallets and other packaging requirements, this can also be used for fencing materials. This has a high quantity of large knots / dead knots which can be prone to dropping out.

This can and is also used to produce low grade planed sections widely used in the caravan and modular building industry where the visual aspect of the timber isn’t important but price is the key factor
Scandinavian 6ths

The lowest grade that we keep on stock which has larger knots and more defects. It is used for packaging materials and disposable pallets. 6ths Grade can also be used for some claddings, and furniture manufacture where the defects add to the features of the furniture.

6ths Grade Joinery has a higher knot content than unsorted, with the grain not always straight.
